Here's your chance to be the voice that celebrates their efforts. Nominate your hero today, and each quarter, Save A Lot will handpick five remarkable local leaders or organizations to receive a well-deserved $500 Save A Lot gift card.

Let's recognize those who go above and beyond to make our communities better. Nominate your Hometown Heroes and let's spread the spirit of gratitude and appreciation together!

Limit: Only one Nomination entry is permitted per person. The age of the entrant must be at least 18 years old or older at the time of entry.

How to Enter in Save a Lot 2023-2024 Hometown Heroes Contest:

A Nominee must be nominated by a person other than the Nominee. Nominators can submit a nomination form with a written statement describing the Nominee by visiting savealot.com/hometownheroes. Nominations for each Nomination Period may be submitted during the dates described in the table below.

Fall 2023: 09/11/2023 – 12/17/2023
Winter 2024: 12/18/2023 – 3/17/2024
Spring 2024: 3/18/2024 – 6/16/2024
Summer 2024: 6/17/2024 – 9/15/2024

Save a Lot 2023-2024 Hometown Heroes Contest Judging Phase:

In the initial round of each Contest Period, the Sponsor reviews each accepted and confirmed Nomination, selecting a number of Finalists based on adherence to judging criteria. These criteria include commitment to community service, inspirational power, overall impact, and qualities exemplifying a “Hometown Hero.”

Hometown Heroes Contest Finalist Voting Phase:

The second round involves public voting on the selected Finalists, accessible on Save A Lot’s Facebook page (@savealot). Each user can cast one vote per day during the Voting Period. Up to five Finalists with the most votes at the end of the Voting Period become the Winners. In the event of a tie, Sponsor selects the Winners at its sole discretion.
