The eligible entrants should be 18 years or older at the time of entry. There is a limit of 1 Entry per person, per email address, throughout the Promotion Period.

How to Enter

To participate, go to freedommortgage.com/celebrate during the Contest Entry Period to gain access to the Contest entry form. On the landing page, you will then need to enter your email after which you will be directed to the official contest entry form and will need to completely enter your true and correct information in the required fields including Full Name, Email Address, Full Address, Birth Date, Phone Number, “Are you currently serving or have you served in the United States Armed Forces?”, “If yes, please indicate which status you identify with as it pertains to the US Armed Forces?", “If yes, what is your current or last rank when you left the service?”, “Do you identify as a First Responder? If yes, in which area do you serve as a first responder? (i.e., police, EMT, Firefighter etc.)”, “Do you identify as a healthcare worker? If yes, in which area do you serve as a healthcare worker? (i.e., nurse, doctor etc.)”. Upon completion of the contest entry form, you must share a first-hand personal story describing "In 1,500 characters or less, “What does freedom mean to me?” You will then be instructed to upload 1 photo or image (maximum file size of 10MB) via PC or mobile device to accompany the essay.

Judging: 1 Grand Prize will be selected, the judging begins on April 29, 2023, and ends on June 1, 2023. The judging panel, selected by the Sponsor, will score each Entry up to the maximum amount of points allowed. Judging will be based on the following criteria:

• Impact of the story (50%)
• Storytelling (50%)

Prize

1 Grand Prize: The winner will receive a trip for 2 (winner and 1 guest) to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for the Wawa Welcome America Festival, Celebration of Freedom Ceremony presented by Freedom Mortgage on July 4th plus a check for $10,000. The Prize package includes:

• Round-trip coach air transportation for the winner and 1 guest from a major airport, as determined by the Sponsor, near the winner’s home within the continental U.S. to Philadelphia, PA;
• 1 double occupancy standard room for 3-days/2-nights;
• Roundtrip ground transportation to and from airport and hotel;
• Roundtrip ground transportation to and from the hotel and event;
• VIP July 4th Philadelphia experience: Concert featuring top-notch entertainment and an awe-inspiring Fireworks finale accompanied by complimentary meal vouchers; and
• $10,000 check from Freedom Mortgage.

The ARV of the Contest Grand Prize is $15,000.
