To get entry into the Stripes contest, you have to visit www.frogtape.com/earnyourstripes and submit entry form by providing required information like name and contact information. At the time of entry, entrant must select one of seven project categories, including Kids Rooms & Nurseries, Kitchens & Bathrooms, Bedrooms, Living and Dining Rooms, Man Caves & Basements, Community and Commercial Projects and upload 1 photo of your room before your project starts, 1 photo of during your project with FrogTape viewing in the picture and 1 photo of the completed project. Entrants are able to upload 4 pictures per stage. Your uploaded image must be in JPG format as well as 5MB or less in size.

After uploading photo, you have to crop your photo to be used as your gallery thumbnail image and give a name of project and brief description about your room before you started the project, working on the project, and after completing the project. Once you complete entry process successfully, submit it and get confirmation email at your email address.

At the end of the contest, it offers first, second and third prize whose value is $5000, $2,500 and $1,000 respectively. It also offers best in show category prize, in which it gives $100.00 cash prize to Each Best in Show Category winning entrant.
