Reader's Digest Photo Contest

Difficulty Level : Moderate ( 3 out of 5 ) In today’s digital world, technology has turned everyone into a photographer. Camera-centric smartphones and affordable digital cameras have made photography a highly popular hobby. If you enjoy photography, then you submit your best shot of a person, place or thing that has been Made in America in the Made in America Photo Contest sponsored by Reader's Digest and stand a chance to win cash. Also, get your photo published in the Reader’s Digest issue.

Limit: You must be at least 18 years old to enter the contest. You are allowed to enter only once throughout the promotional period.

To participate, go to rd.com/photocontest and enter your name, address, city, state, zip, phone number, email address and a photograph of a person, place, or thing that’s Made in America along with a caption of 100 words or less describing why you chose this photo to represent the theme.

Judges will determine the winner on or about April 22, 2014 on the basis of originality (25%), quality of photograph (25%), adherence to the contest theme (25%) and interesting, well-written caption (25%). The top three scorers will be declared as winners.

The first prize winner will receive $1000, the second prize winner will be awarded with $500 and the third prize winner will get $250.
