How to Enter in PEOPLE Pets Dog of the Week Contest:

Entry Period: May 18, 2026 to June 5, 2026

During the Entry Period, visit people.com/people-loves-pets-dog-of-the-week-submission-11957507 on PEOPLE.com or through the PEOPLE app and complete the official registration form. Entrants must upload one photo of their dog and provide the required information, including: Email address, ZIP code, Dog’s name, Breed, Weight, Sex, and A response to the prompt: “Tell us what makes your dog so special”

After successfully submitting the completed form and photo, entrants will receive one (1) official entry into the contest

PEOPLE Pets Dog of the Week Contest Winner selection:

Judging & Winner Selection: After the Entry Period, a panel of judges will score eligible entries based on:

• Creativity/originality (40%),
• Personality and cover-worthy appeal (30%), and
• Visual quality (30%).

The top 15 entries will be selected as finalists and featured in groups of three during five consecutive Weekly Voting Periods in the PEOPLE App.

Public voting will determine one weekly winner per voting period. Finalists and winners will be notified by email and must complete required verification documents within the specified deadlines.
