Everyone has that one teacher who made school atmosphere beautiful by spreading the joy of learning. In advance of Teacher Appreciation Week, Norwegian Cruise Line is going to reward Free Cruises to Teachers. So hurry up and nominate your favorite teacher and tell us about how he/she is bringing joy to the classroom in Norwegian Cruise Line 2019 Giving Joy Contest. By doing so, your teacher can win a free cruise aboard the Norwegian Joy, an exclusive invitation to an award ceremony on May 3 in Seattle plus chance to win $15000 cash for their school.

Limit: There is no limit to the number of individuals that a Nominator can nominate. The age of entrant must beat least 13 year old or older at the time nomination.

How to enter:

In order to nominate a nominee, visit nclgivingjoy.com and follow instructions to complete the nomination form including providing your Nominee's First and Last Name, Email Address, Phone Number, Zip/Postal Code (optional), Nominator's First and Last Name, Email Address, and Phone Number.

After that, submit 250 words essay describing why the Nominee deserves to win the Grand Prize Award. As well as give answers to one or more of the following questions.

1. How has the Nominee gone above and beyond to make a lasting impact on his or her students’ lives?
   ii.
2. How does the Nominee inspire his or her students to be the best they can be?
   iii.
3. What else can you share about the Nominee that makes him or her exceptional teacher?

After that, upload photograph of nominee and check the box confirming that you have carefully read official rules and submit your entry.

Semi-Finalist Selection:

All eligible entries will be posted for public voting on website during promotion period. The thirty (30) eligible Submissions who will receive highest number of votes will be the semi-finalist of the contest. Administrator will notify them on or about April 13, 2019 via email.

How to judge:

Qualified panel of judges will judge all semi-finalist entry on the basis of following judging criteria (the “Judging Criteria”) to determine all 15 finalist:

(i) Relevance to the Contest theme (50%)
(ii) The Nominee’s lasting impact on his/her students (30%)
(iii) Content and Originality (20%)

Prizes:

(14) Finalist Prizes:

a) An invitation for two to attend the Norwegian Joy Gala on May 3, 2019. Trip consists of round-trip coach-class airfare, one night hotel accommodation, two (2) tickets to the Norwegian Joy Gala on May 3, 2019.

b) one (1) cruise certificate good for a 7-day Norwegian Cruise Line cruise of Finalist’s choice for Finalist and Guest (together, a "Finalist Prize").

(ARV: $4000 for each)

(1) Grand Prize:

a) An invitation for (i) Grand Prize Winner and one (1) Guest, (ii) the Grand Prize Winner’s school principal and one (1) Guest; and (iii) the Grand Prize Winner’s school superintendent and one (1) Guest to attend the Norwegian Joy Gala on May 3, 2019. Trip consists of round-trip coach-class airfare, one night hotel accommodation, six (6) tickets to the Norwegian Joy Gala on May 3, 2019.
