One grand prize winner will receive an incredible package including a car of their choice from Hertz Car Sales, a complete Husky garage storage upgrade, and a $1,000 The Home Depot gift card. Two additional winners will also receive a vehicle of their choice, premium Husky garage equipment, and a $1,000 Home Depot gift card. Even nominators can win—if your nominee is selected, you’ll receive a $1,000 The Home Depot gift card as well.

How to Participate in Hertz Military Appreciation Contest:

During the Contest Period, visit Hertz Military Appreciation Contest page at hertz.com/military and complete the nomination form by submitting your information and the Nominee’s details, including first and last name, email address, relationship to the Nominee, military affiliation, branch of service, and years of military service.

You must also provide responses of up to 3,000 characters covering: a story reflecting service, sacrifice, resilience, or support for the military community; how the Nominee positively impacts others; and how winning would meaningfully impact the Nominee’s life. After completing the form, check all required agreement boxes to submit the nomination.

Hertz Home Depot Military Appreciation Contest Winner Selection:

The judging process consists of three phases:

Phase 1 – Initial Review

All nominations will be reviewed using AI analysis based on:

• Completion of nomination form
• Basic eligibility requirements

The top two hundred nominations will advance as Semi-Finalists.

Phase 2 – Finalist Selection

Semi-Finalists will be scored by judges on:

• Service & Dedication (30%)
• Impact & Influence (25%)
• Leadership & Character (20%)
• Resilience & Personal Story (15%)
• Nomination Quality (10%)

The thirty highest-scoring nominations will advance as Finalists.

Phase 3 – Winner Selection

Finalists will be re-scored using the same judging criteria and weighted scoring system.

• The highest-scoring Finalist will be named the Grand Prize Winner
• The next two highest-scoring Finalists will be named First Prize Winners
