Difficulty Level : Very Hard ( 4 out of 5 ) For the sixth consecutive year, Dole Packaged Foods has come up with Cook-Off recipe Contest and Sweepstakes. Any cooking enthusiast can submit unique recipe into the DOLE 2014 Cook-Off recipe contest. But, make sure that your recipe includes a DOLE Packaged Food.
Limit: Participants above 18 years of age can enter the promotion. They can enter into the Contest and Sweepstakes once a day daily throughout the promotional period.
To enter the contest: Visit www.dole.com/cookoff and click on the “Enter for a chance to win” button. After that, enter the personal details along with an original small plate recipe that can be prepared in 60 minutes on a gas grill. The recipe must include at least one DOLE Product and up to ten additional ingredients. Finally, hit the “Submit Recipe” button.
To enter the Sweepstakes, logon to www.dole.com/cookoff and press the “Enter Now” button. Then, select the “Become a Judge” tab and enter the required details.
A panel of judges will select 3 Finalists (one per Western, Central and Eastern region) on the basis of Best Use of DOLE Product (30%), Flavor and Taste (25%), Creativity (15%), Presentation (15%) and Ease of Preparation (15%).
The finalist will then participate in the Cook-Off where each of them will prepare his/her Recipe in front of a live audience. Then, a panel of four Judges will judge and rate the recipe on the basis of Best Use of DOLE Product (30%), Flavor and Taste (25%), Creativity (15%), Presentation (15%) and Ease of Preparation (15%). The Finalist with the highest overall score will be determined as the Grand Prize Winner. The two Finalists shall be the “Runner-Up Winners.
(1) Grand Prize: A Trip to attend the “California Cook-Off” in Los Angeles, California and a $25000 check.
(2) Runner-Up Prizes: A Trip to attend the “California Cook-Off” in Los Angeles, California and a $1000 check.
The total ARV of contest prizes is $35,450
(1) Sweepstakes Prize: A Trip to attend and judge the “California Cook-Off” in Los Angeles, California. The trip package includes Coach - class airfare, hotel accommodations, rental car and $1,000 spending money. (ARV: $4,000).
