Visit www.roommateoftheyear.com, follow the online instructions to complete and submit official entry form along with a video as per one of the Contest categories such as “The Loveable Compulsive”, “The Purr-fect Pet Owner”, “The Environmentalist”, and “The All-Star Roomie”.

Fifteen Finalists will be selected on or about May 21, 2012 on the basis of Judging Criteria like 25% for Originality & Creativity; 25% for Overall "Wow" Factor; 25% for Persuasive Argument; and 25% for Style & Production. Finalists will be informed on or about May 21, 2012, by telephone and/or e-mail. Five Winners will be selected from on or about May 29, 2012 to midnight EST July 6, 2012 through public voting from finalists. One Grand prize winner and four runner-up prize winners will be selected between July 7, 2012 and December 31, 2012 from among the five winners. Grand prize winner will be contacted between July 7, 2012 and December 31, 2012 by telephone and/or e-mail.

One Grand prize winner will receive free rent for a year valued at $10,000, plus an additional $10,000 in the form of a check (ARV: $20,000).

Four runner-up winners will each receive $500 in the form of a check.
