Sportskid of the Year 2014 Contest

Difficulty Level : Moderate ( 3 out of 5 ) For the eighth consecutive year, Sports Illustrated magazine has come up with Sportskid of the Year Contest where you can nominate a kid who you think deserves to become SI Kids SportsKid of the Year. The SportsKid of the Year will be honored at SI Sportsman of the Year ceremony in New York City and featured on the cover of December issue of SI Kids magazine.

Limit: The contest is open for kids aged between 7 and 15 years. Only one nomination is allowed per person or e-mail account.

During nomination period (July 28 to September 15), access www.sikids.com/SKOTY and submit your nomination by entering personal details and a short description about the nominee’s accomplishments on the field, in the classroom and in the community.

SI Kids editorial staff will judge all received entries of basis of athletics (33.33%), academic record (33.33%) and community service (33.33%). The five entries with highest score will be published on SIKids.com/SKOTY for public voting.

During voting period (September 29 to October 13), Visitors to SIKIDS.com can vote their favorite finalists.

The nominee with the highest votes will be determined as the SportsKid of the Year (Grand Prize Winner).

The 2014 SportsKid of the Year will be featured on the cover of December issue of Sports Illustrated Kids magazine. The winner will also receive a trip for four to New York City for the 2014 SI Sportsman of the Year ceremony and an awesome SKOTY jacket. The trip includes roundtrip coach airline tickets, one night hotel lodging, ground transportation and a food stipend of $500 per day. (ARV: $5,000)
