Sharp Art of Amazing 4k Film Competition

Once again, filmmakers are invited in the Sharp Art of Amazing 4k Film Competition to create short 4K films. This would be golden chance for them, as for the first time, all films submitted during the contest will be taken for screening at the internationally well-known Mill Valley Film Festival, a gathering place for the film industry, where 5 of the last 6 films that won the Academy Award for Best Picture were screened. Here participants will also enjoy parties & private reception, as well as get chances for winning tour & trips, Sharp HD LED TVs, free subscription, and lot more. Film fans are also rewarded with Sharp 70” HD LED TV for voting their favorite film. So, something for all!

Limit: It’s great! Here is no limit on the number of Films that an entrant can enter into this Promotion. But, entrants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of movie submission.

This Promotion consists of three phases: Submission Phase: It starts on July 18, 2014 and ends on September 7, 2014. Judging Phase: It begins on or about September 8, 2014 and ends on September 14, 2014. During the time, submitted films will be judged to decide Contest Prize winners. Public Voting/Sweepstakes Phase: It starts on September 15, 2014 and ends on October 8, 2014. During the phase, up to 15 Finalists’ Films will be posted at sharpartofamazing.com and entrants to view the Films and vote for their favorite Film with simple login.

In the “Contest,” participants have to submit a 4K film that captures “the Art of an Amazing 4K entertainment experience”, complying following phases.

During the Submission Phase, participant can enter by visiting http://sharpartofamazing.com (the “Website”) and do login using his/her Facebook account. Then, complete the registration entering all required details like first and last name, valid e-mail address, City, State, Zip Code, date of birth, and telephone number and following all instructions. 

After completing and submitting the registration form, the participant will be asked to select method for submitting his/her Film, by: (i) e-mailing a downloadable file to the Sponsor via Dropbox or other file hosting service to [email protected] or (ii) mailing the Film directly to the Sponsor. The participant must have to give a title to his/her Film (not exceeding 50 characters) also a video file name for his/her Film (not exceeding 50 characters).

To submit Film via mail, you must mail the Film on a USB 3.0 hard drive or flash drive, postage pre-paid to Art of Amazing 4K Film Competition,

Here note that the Film must be received by the Sponsor before the end of the Submission Phase. Make sure that the Film must be filmed in 4K and not exceed 10 minutes in length, for detailed guidelines and restrictions for making film, visit official rules page.

The Judges will score each Film according to the weighted criteria: 33.34% for creativity, 33.33% for technical quality and 33.33% for the ability to capture the required elements. The Judges will select only 15 finalists depending upon the number of eligible Films.

Next, each finalist is allowed to post only one Film to the gallery on the Website for public voting during the Public Voting/Sweepstakes Phase, by logged on to the Website. Most importantly, here voter can receive an entry into the Sweepstakes by voting during the Sweepstakes Phase. Voters can cast a vote, by clicking on the “Vote For This” button available next to a Film. Voter is allowed to only one Vote per entry, per Day.

At the end of the Public Voting/Sweepstakes Phase, one sweepstakes prize winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries into the Sweepstakes.

Finalist Prizes:

Each of 15 finalists will receive a tour of Skywalker Ranch & filmmaker passes to the 2014 Mill Valley Film Festival in Mill Valley, California from October 2nd, 2014 - October 12th, 2014 along with access to industry lounges, private screenings brunches, parties, and a private reception. Discounts in airfare and hotels will also be provided but the Finalist is in charge for his/her travel. There is no value to the Finalist Prizes because there is no charge for anyone invited to get a tour of Skywalker Ranch or to attend the 2014 Mill Valley Film Festival.

Contest prizes:

Contest Grand Prize winner will be rewarded with a Sharp 70” THX certified AQUOS® 4K Ultra HD TV, a 6K RED DRAGON® camera, and a trip for two to the 2015 Consumer Electronics show, which will held in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 7 – 10, 2015.

Fan Contest Prize winner will receive a Sharp 32” 4K Ultra HD LED Professional Display TV, and 12 month subscription to Adobe creative cloud. 

Audience Contest Prize winner will be rewarded with a Sharp 60” THX certified** AQUOS® 4K Ultra HD LED TV.

Sweepstake Prize:

One Sweepstake Prize winner will be rewarded with a Sharp 70” THX certified** AQUOS® 4K Ultra HD LED TV.

If needed, there will be electronic prizes for all.
