This is the time to awaken the master chef inside you and put your best avocado ideas to the test. As now, Avocados from Mexico is rewarding chefs for sharing their most creative and delicious ideas for guacamole. So let’s get ready to think about all seasonal flavor and holiday classics to create four best ideas for guac and other avocado recipes – sauces, spreads, dips, etc. and share it in Avocados from Mexico Guac & Beyond Chef Contest to win $200 for groceries and chance to compete to win a share of $8500.

Limit: Only one entry is allowed per eligible person. The minimum age required for the sweepstakes is 18 years.

How to enter:

Submission Period: 04/21/2020 to 05/06/2020

Visit avocadosfrommexico.com/foodservice/guac-and-beyond-contest/ and follow on-screen instructions to complete and submit an entry form with all requested details. After that, provide details regarding how COVID-19 has negatively affected you as well as submit four (4) recipes based on the following four (4) concepts: (i) Guacamole, (ii) Avocado Sauce, (iii) Avocado Dressing, (iv) Avocado Smear (each a “Recipe Concept).

Judging Phase 1: 05/07/2020 to 05/14/2020

During the judging phase, all eligible entries will be judged by a qualified panel of judges to determine 100 finalists on the basis of following judging criteria:

  • Overall Uniqueness of concept (33.3%)
  • Flavor Profiles (33.3%)
  • Different ways of using Fresh Avocados from Mexico (33.3%)

Finalist Submission Phase: 05/08/2020 to 05/28/2020

During the finalist submission period, visit avocadosfrommexico.com/foodservice/guac-and-beyond-contest/ again and submit the 4 Recipe Concepts with 4 photographs.

Winner Determination Phase: 05/29/2020 to 06/11/2020

During the Winner Determination Phase, all 100 finalist submission will be judged by a qualified panel of judges on the basis of following weighted judging criteria:

  • Naming/Photo (25%)
  • Accurate Recipe – Execution (20%)
  • Unique & Creative Recipe – (30%)
  • Texture & Flavor - (25%)

Prizes:

(100) Finalist Prizes: $200 cash ($100 upon initial notification and $100 upon submitting his/her Finalist Submission)

(1) Grand Prize: $5000 cash

(1) First Prize: $2500 Cash

(1) Second Prize: $1000 Cash
