Be a part of the Art Institutes 2011 Storytellers Photography Competition and grab your chance to compete for a tuition scholarship for a photography education at one of The Art Institutes schools and get a opportunity to showcase your photography talents. It is golden chance for creative thinkers who pursue a photography education and career in professional photography. Here best Photography and story submitted entrant will deserve for a photography scholarship worth up to $10,000.
Limit: Entrant must be 16 year old or older at the time of entry. One entrant may submit one submission during the submission phase to one participating Art Institutes school.
For taking part in the sweepstakes, visit www.artinstitutes.edu/photocompetition and follow the directions to advance on the registration form page. Fill out the entire registration form with providing a valid home mailing address. In the registration, you will also have to select The Art Institutes school where you would like to enter the Competition and that you wish to represent should you progress in the Competition as well as submit six photos to create your portfolio that reveals the Competition theme of ‘Storytelling Through the Lens’ and artist’s statement in a 500 to 800 word explaining your purpose and intent of producing the work; what you intend to communicate and a explanation of your approach.
Following the submission phase, the Local Judging Phase will be taken place and highest-scoring Submissions will be selected as a local high school senior finalist and a local adult/high school finalist on the basis of judging criteria. Each finalist in the high school seniors category will be determined as finalist prize winner and advanced to the National Judging Phase.
High School Seniors prizes:
Grand prize (1): $40,000 ($10,000 per year) tuition scholarship towards attending a photography program at The Art Institutes school the winner represented in the competition.
First prize (1): $20,000 ($5,000 per year) tuition scholarship towards attending a photography program at The Art Institutes school the winner represented in the competition.
Second prize (1): $10,000 ($2,500 per year) tuition scholarship towards attending a photography program at The Art Institutes school the winner represented in the competition.
Finalist prizes (39): $3,000 tuition scholarship towards attending a photography program.
Adults/High School Graduates prizes:
Grand Prize (1): $10,000 tuition scholarship towards attending a photography program at The Art Institute school the winner represented in the Competition.
Finalist Prizes (39): $1,000 tuition scholarship towards attending a photography program.
