Teachers are always willing to assist pupils learn in any circumstance. They worked tirelessly to keep children interested and involved in school. It is now up to students to express their appreciation and repay them for all of their efforts. Limit: You must be at least 13 years old or older at the time of nomination. You can nominate as many individuals as you want. The nominee must be at least 21 years old and an accredited teacher currently employed at a public or private elementary school, middle school, high school, or an accredited university or college. Legal residents of Puerto Rico are also eligible to enter the sweepstakes.

How to Enter the Norwegian’s Giving Joy 2023 Contest:

In order to nominate an individual, visit contest.nclgivingjoy.com and click on the “Nominate” button. After that, complete the nomination form with the nominee's first and last name, email address, phone number, zip/postal code, country, Instagram handle (optional), Twitter handles (optional), nominator's first and last name, email address, and phone number.

After that, submit a 1,250 characters essay describing why the Nominee deserves to win one of the Grand Prize Awards.

Your essay must include answers to one or more of the following questions:

• How has the Nominee gone above and beyond to make a lasting impact on his or her students’ lives?
• How does the Nominee inspire his or her students to be the best they can be?
• What else can you share about the Nominee that makes him or her an exceptional teacher?

Then, upload a photo of the nominee and submit the form.

Norwegian’s Giving Joy 2023 Contest Public Voting:

All eligible submissions will be posted on nclgivingjoy.com for public voting. Voters can cast votes for their favorite submissions and share them via social media to encourage more votes.

The 40 submissions with the highest number of votes will be deemed the “Semi-Finalist Submissions”. All the semi-finalists will be notified via email and/or phone on or about June 9, 2023. Semi-finalists must verify their teaching accreditations by providing proof of employment.

NCL Giving Joy Contest 2023 Judging:

A panel of judges will score each verified semi-finalist submission based on the following judging criteria:

• Relevance to the Contest theme (50%)
• The Nominee’s lasting impact on his/her students (30%)
• Content and Originality (20%)

The three submissions with the highest scores will be the grand prize winners and the 17 submissions with the next highest scores will be the finalists. All the winners will be notified via email and/or phone on or about June 29, 2023.
