Duck Tape Prom Contest 2026: Win $10,000 Scholarship

The Duck Brand Duct Tape Stuck at Prom Scholarship Contest 2026 invites you to design and wear your own original prom look using Duck Brand Duct Tape or Crafting Tape. This is your moment to transform everyday materials into something unforgettable—bold, creative, and completely your own.
Capture your finished look in a high-quality photo and show the world what you’ve created. From elegant gowns to standout suits, this prom design contest is all about imagination, confidence, and making a statement beyond the dance floor.
One grand prize winner can receive up to a $10,000 scholarship, while multiple participants have the chance to win $1,000 scholarships along with exclusive Duck branded products. This unique scholarship contest and DIY fashion competition celebrates originality and rewards standout talent.

Limit: The eligible entrants should be 14 years or older at the time of entry. There is a limit of 1 entry per person. Void in Maryland, Colorado, Vermont, Nebraska North Dakota, and the Province of Quebec.
How to Enter the Duck Brand Stuck at Prom Contest:
Entrants must participate as an individual and create an original prom outfit using Duck® Brand duct tape or crafting tape. The outfit must be either a full dress or a complete tuxedo with accessories.
The design must be original, must not have won any previous contest, and cannot copy another person’s work without permission. Help from friends or family is allowed, but professional assistance is not permitted.
To enter, visit the contest website duckbrand.com/stuck-at-prom and complete the online entry form. Submissions must include:
- At least one and up to five photos wearing the outfit
- Personal details (name, contact information, etc.)
- A written description or video explaining the outfit
- A photographer release form if professional photos are used
All entries must be submitted online in English during the entry period. No other entry method is accepted.
If the entrant is under 18, a parent or guardian must provide consent. They will receive an email and can choose to approve or remove the entry.
Duck Brand $10,000 Scholarship Giveaway Judging and Winner Selection:
Judging Period: June 11, 2026 to June 18, 2026
During the Judging Period, all eligible Contest entries in the Dress Category and Tux Category will be evaluated by a panel of judges to determine the Finalists and the Red, White & Made by You Prize winners.
Entries will be judged based on the following criteria:
- Workmanship (20%) – Quality, neatness, and attention to detail in creating the outfits and accessories
- Originality (20%) – Uniqueness, inventiveness, creativity, and originality
- Use of Colors (20%) – Combination, integration, and harmony of colors
- Accessories (20%) – Creativity and effectiveness in accentuating and completing the outfits
- Use of Duck® Brand Duct Tape (20%) – Materials used and integration of Duck Tape® in the design
Finalist Determination:
Based on the Judges’ scores, the five highest-scoring entries in each category (Dress and Tux) will be selected as Finalists and will advance to the Community Voting Period.
Community Voting:
All eligible Finalist entries will be posted on the Voting Site. During the Community Voting Period, individuals must register with a valid email address to vote (“Eligible Voters”).
- Limit: One vote per category (Dress and Tux) per email address per day
- Voting Period: June 29, 2026 to July 13, 2026
Determination of Winners:
At the conclusion of the Community Voting Period:
- The Finalist with the highest number of valid votes in the Dress Category will be awarded the Dress Category First Prize
- The Finalist with the highest number of valid votes in the Tux Category will be awarded the Tux Category First Prize
- All remaining Finalists will receive a Runners-Up Prize
Special Category Prizes:
Three Special Category Prize winners will be selected by the Judges from among the remaining Finalists:
- Most Runway Worthy Prize – Most fashion-forward Entry
- Most Inspiring Prize – Best cultural use or most inspiring story
- Trust E’s Choice Prize – Overall Judges’ favorite Entry
Red, White & Made by You Prizes:
Four winners will be selected based on the following criterion:
- Most Patriotic (100%) – Entry that best celebrates the 250th Anniversary of the United States
Duck Tape Prom Contest Prizes:
(2) First Place Prizes (1 for Dress Category and 1 for Tux Category: Winner will win a $10,000 cash scholarship (Dress and Tux categories).
(8) Runners-Up Prizes: Winner will win a $1,000 cash scholarship and a Duck® Brand Prize Pack.
(ARV: $1,100 each)
(3) Special Category Prizes: Winner will win an additional $1,000 cash scholarship.
(4) “Red, White & Made by You” Prizes: Winner will win $250 cash.
