Do I need to print my certificate for redemption if I receive it via email or access it via the mobile app?
No, there’s no need to print your certificate. You can redeem it by presenting it on your mobile device at any U.S. Costco warehouse. Ensure you fully download the email or save a screenshot to make the barcode accessible for scanning.
How do I redeem my Costco rewards?
Credit card reward certificates can be redeemed for merchandise or cash back at any U.S. Costco warehouse, including Puerto Rico. Cash-back requests may be fulfilled in an alternative form (e.g., check or electronic transfer) at the warehouse’s discretion. Please note that they cannot be used on Costco.com, Costco Travel, or the Costco Mobile® App.
What happens if I don’t use my entire credit card reward certificate on my purchase?
If you redeem only a portion of the certificate for merchandise, you will receive the remaining balance in cash at the Costco warehouse register upon checkout.
When does the credit card reward certificate expire?
The Costco reward certificate expiration date for your Costco Anywhere Visa Card is December 31st of the issuance year. Prior to the certificate’s expiration, it should be redeemed in person at any U.S. Costco warehouse, including Puerto Rico.
What if I lose my certificate?
You can request a replacement credit card reward certificate through Citi® Online. Log in, click the “Access Certificate” link, choose your preferred delivery method, and submit your selection. Each replacement certificate comes with a new certificate number, rendering previous certificates ineligible for redemption.

Yes, you will receive separate credit card reward certificates for each Costco Anywhere Visa Card account you hold, provided you are the Primary Cardholder for each.
What happens to my credit card reward certificate if I cancel my Costco membership?
If your Costco membership is no longer valid, your Costco Anywhere Visa® Card may be canceled. Any unredeemed cash-back rewards in the form of a credit card reward certificate will be forfeited. However, once you’ve received a credit card reward certificate, you can still redeem it. To ensure your membership remains active, consider enrolling in the membership auto-renew feature with Costco.
I received my February statement but need help finding my credit card reward certificate. Why?
If you’re enrolled in Paperless with Citi, your reward certificate will be emailed shortly after your February statement closing date. It will not be included in your digital statement.
