National Park Foundation: Share the Experience 2011 Photo Contest

Difficulty Level : Very Hard ( 4 out of 5 ) The National Park Foundation’s an annual photography contest is opportunity for nature enthusiasts, part-time photographers and kids of above 13 to show their experience of national parks through their eyes. National Park Foundation has partnered with few companies for continuing it’s more than decade running contest and increasing enthusiasm for national parks. Then let’s arrive at the special place to show your favorite captured views, moments and adventures on the nation's public lands in 2011 Share the Experience photo contest at www.sharetheexperience.org. This time contest winner will be given a chance to explore a Federal Recreation Land of the winner’s choice. As well, other many prizes will be awarded at the end of the contest.

Limit: Contestant must be 13 years old at time of entry. Each contestant may enter maximum three photographs during the submission phase, through any method or combination of entry methods.

You may enter the contest during the submission phase (June 1- December 31, 2011) through any of following entry ways:

Enter online: Visit www.sharetheexperience.org during the submission phase and follow the instructions to register for the contest. For registration, you have to submit up to three total photos that express the theme ‘Showcasing the best of America’s Recreational Opportunities’ and must be taken in one of the Federal Recreation Agency Lands between January 1, 2010 and December 31, 2011. Don’t forget to indicate photograph corresponding Federal Recreation Agency Lands.

Enter via mail: Hand print your name, address, day and evening phone numbers, email address, and age on a 3” x 5” piece of paper in a hand-addressed, stamped envelope with your photograph to: National Parks Foundation ‘Share the Experience 2011,’ 1201 Eye Street, NW, Suite 550B, Washington, DC 20005. One entry is allowed per separately mailed envelope, up to three total photo entries.

At the end of the submission phase, top 100 entries will be determined based on judging criteria and posted in an online gallery at www.sharetheexperience.org for public voting .

After the judging phase, public voting phase will be held from January 16, 2012 to January 31, 2012. You can cast your vote for your favorite submission finalists posted on www.sharetheexperience.org. For your vote, you will be provided one sweepstakes entry. One entrant may earn just one sweepstakes entry per day and vote one time per day during the public voting phase.

In the contest, one grand prize winner, one first prize winner, one second prize winner, one third prize winner, and ten honorable mention prize winners will be determined.

Contest grand prize winner will receive a trip for four to a Federal Recreation Land of the winner’s choice plus a Magellan GPS eXplorist 610, a $100 REI gift card, a Federal Recreational Lands Interagency Pass, and $500 in spending money (ARV: $6,405).

Other contest prizes:

First Prize (1): A prize package including a Magellan GPS eXplorist 510, a Federal Recreational Lands Interagency Pass, and a $100 REI gift card (ARV: $530).

Second Prize (1): A prize package including a Magellan GPS eXplorist 310, a Federal Recreational Lands Interagency Pass, and a $100 REI gift card (ARV: $380).

Third Prize (1): A prize package including Magellan GPS eXplorist GC, a Federal Recreational Lands Interagency pass, and a $100 REI gift card (ARV: $330).

Honorable Mention Prizes (10): A prize package which includes: a Federal Recreational Lands Interagency Pass and a $100 REI gift card (ARV: $180).

Sweepstakes prize:

Only one winner will be selected from all accepted eligible entries on or around February 1, 2012 and awarded with $100 REI gift card.
