The Lash Boost, lash serum is one of the company\u2019s most popular products advertised to dramatically increase the length and density of your lashes. While many customers swear by this product for growing their lashes, others have alleged it as being a misbranded drug that can lead to serious side effects.<\/p>\n<p>This has led to several class-action lawsuits against Rodan +Fields which they have agreed to settle with a $38 million fund. The class-action lawsuit is expected to benefit consumers who bought the Rodan + Fields Lash Boost between 1<sup>st<\/sup> October 2016 and 11<sup>th<\/sup> March 2022. Plaintiffs in three action lawsuits have challenged the inclusion of isopropyl cloprostenol among the ingredients of Lash Boost. This prostaglandin analog is a type of chemical which finds usage in various glaucoma treatments. The presence of this drug has given adequate ground to the plaintiff to argue that U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) should regulate Lash Boost and treat it as a drug rather than an untested cosmetics product.<\/p>\n<p>The chemical structure of isopropyl cloprostenol is similar to certain medications which have led to plaintiffs alleging Rodan +Fields of selling an unadulterated and misbranded drug and failure to disclose adequate information on its potential side effects. Consumers weren\u2019t warned about the inherent risks associated with isopropyl cloprostenate which caused customers to expose themselves to adverse reactions like macular edema, eye irritation, ocular inflammation, and iris color change when they applied this medical drug near their eyes. Other than the adverse side effects, the marketing promises made by Rodan + Fields contradict the fact that lash Boost is not a drug product,\u201d \u201ccontains only cosmetic ingredients,\u201d and is \u201cnot associated with any significant side effects.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rodan + Fields haven\u2019t admitted any wrongdoing and have maintained that Lash Boost is safe to use when done by the label. The company also added that the product label discloses the chances for different types of reactions experienced by the plaintiffs. According to Rodan + Fields, they have always cautioned customers to discontinue usage if they experience any unpleasant symptoms. They have contended that the incidence of reported adversities has been negligible. However, they have decided to settle the three class-action lawsuits with a $38 million fund to avoid the costs and risks associated with continued litigation.<\/p>\n<p>Class members are eligible to cash payment and a credit voucher depending on whether they have submitted proof of purchase. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweepstakesbible.com\/blog\/category\/settlement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">settlement<\/a> class members\u2019 cash and credit benefits cannot be determined until the completion of the notice process. The Court is yet to pass a final ruling on the number of attorney\u2019s fees, reimbursable costs and expenses awarded to Class Counsel, settlement administration costs, and service rewards worth $15000 to be awarded to class representatives for the services rendered.
