A class action claim has been brought against Cura partners alleging that they omitted to mention certain ingredients from the labeling of their cannabis products. The $500000 settlement<\/a> will benefit all Oregon residents above 21 years who purchased such products within a preset time. It has been alleged by the plaintiffs that the packaging did not mention the existence of botanically derived terpenes and\/or medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) as its chief ingredient. Often botanical terpenes are added to cannabis products for infusing distinct aromas and flavors while tagging along with additional benefits. While these terpenes are not inherently harmful, they should have been disclosed clearly on Cura\u2019s labeling according to the plaintiffs. It has also been brought to notice by the plaintiffs that Cura did not disclose the presence of MCTs in its cannabis product range. It is imperative to note here that MCT oil had a big role to play in the rise of vaping illness cases during 2019.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Cura Partners is a manufacturer of various cannabis products including Select-brand lines of vape products. The company was acquired by Curaleaf Holdings in 2019 and they agreed to resolve \u201cdishonest conduct\u201d penalties from Oregon\u2019s regulators by paying $110000. Cura got entangled in various lawsuits from its consumers over cannabis products inclusive of a class action lawsuit concerning certain product ingredients of its Select range. While Cura has not agreed to any wrongdoing, they have shown their assent to paying $500000 for resolving these allegations. All Class members are eligible to get a cash payment of up to $200 under the terms of the cannabis labeling settlement. In case of an influx of claims, payments are going to be reduced from $200 and each class member is going to receive an equal portion of the settlement fund. The Class Members can choose to receive payment via paper cheque sent to their address or electronic payment via Venmo, PayPal, or direct deposit.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Eligibility For Making Claim:<\/strong> The terms of the Oregon class action settlement will benefit the residents of Oregon over 21 years of age who purchased THC or cannabis products from Select Dabbables, Select Pax, or Select Elite product lines between 15th<\/sup> August 2018 and 22nd<\/sup> November 2019. This includes around 186000 mislabeled pods, disposable pens, and cartridges that have been included in the settlement.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
